The past few years have been challenging, both mentally and physically. The physical battles I can deal with. It’s the mental challenges that bring me down.
How do you treat something that cannot be seen or explained? How do you articulate the millions of thoughts that take over in succession when all you are trying to do is focus on a task?
Fighting those mental battles every single day with myself is what makes me “brave.”
This poem by Emily Dickinson sums it up perfectly.
To fight aloud, is very brave –
But gallanter, I know
Who charge within the bosom
The Calvalry of Wo –
So, tell me. What makes you brave?
I like the poem you included and especially like finding other readers! Good luck on this bloganuary journey.
