What is a treasure that’s been lost?

The ability to appreciate the little things in life—like enjoying a simple meal, a walk with your loved ones, a drive to nowhere, laughing at the stupidest of things, working just enough, having free time, reading a book for pleasure and not internet clout, being more empathetic and less skeptical, etc.

Nowadays, we live life like we are in a simulation. Everything is a competition or a race, where no one is the winner. Nothing is done for pleasure, it’s only for profit. Hustle culture, clout-chasing culture, clapbacks, and whatnot—things that serve to only put down people or amplify their anxiety—are “in” right now.

I really wish we could go back to a time when we valued people, time, and calmness.

What do you think is a treasure that’s been lost?

I read books and sleep all day. I also work. Sometimes.
